In 2023, Moss & Grain was invited to Kyoto to document a traditional machiya townhouse before its transformation into a new hospitality space.
Through architectural photography and on-site documentation, we captured the original structure, aged materials, and quiet atmosphere of the historic residence — preserving the character of the building before its next chapter began.
