About This Project

Overview

The FU Lifestyle Festival was built around a simple idea.

In Mandarin, “FU” can mean both blessing and a feeling. Rather than explaining that idea, the event invited people to experience it for themselves.

The Observation

Before the event, we wanted every image to answer the same question:

What does “having FU” actually look like?

The answer wasn’t found on stage. It appeared in small moments—someone discovering their blessing card, monks chatting with visitors, families sharing a smile, and people quietly carrying blessing candles around the Buddha.

Our Thinking

Instead of documenting the programme, we documented the experience.

The focus was on genuine expressions, human interaction, and the quiet joy that connected everyone throughout the day.

The Outcome

The final images present “FU” as something lived rather than explained.

Not only through blessings, but through curiosity, kindness, and the simple happiness of being together.

Reflection

Sometimes, the feeling of blessing isn’t something you receive.

It’s something you share.
